COGS Dickson Community Garden’s Open Day
Sunday November 24 from 11am to 2pm.
- Come along and see how we manage green waste at the garden, through composting and weed teas… yes cooch can be useful in these systems!
- 2 workshops: At noon, Michele will talk about her no dig approach to growing plants and at 1pm Leo will discuss the benefits of soil microbes in gardening.
- plant sales (located in our large glasshouse on site) indoor, productive, herbs, shrubs, succulents, and pretty potted plants for gifting (EFTPOS and cash happily accepted).
- Yummy baked items and a sausage sizzle (vegans catered for) and we have a lovely undercover area where you can sit and chat over a hot or cold drink while enjoying our yummy offerings.
- Raffle with amazing prizes that will be drawn at 2pm.Tickets are only $1 each or 3 for $2.
- You are welcome to wander the garden, ask any of us questions or take a garden tour at 11.30.
Garden is open for 3 hours only, 11am – 2pm
COGS Dickson Community Garden is located on the Dickson College Campus, cnr of Phillip and Majura Avenues, Dickson. Find us through Google maps by searching COGS Dickson Community Garden or follow the signs located in the staff carpark on the south west side of the school. Note, you have to walk 100 metres from the carpark to get to our garden.
