Potential vacancy – COGS Treasurer

The COGS Executive is seeking someone to take on the role of Treasurer at its Annual General Meeting in March 2023. This role will suit some seeking to gain board/committee experience, someone who works part-time or is retired. The role of Treasurer is voluntary and involves:
- Responsibility for all receipts and payments (revenue approx. $70,000 p.a.);
- Invoicing of members for annual membership and plot fees from around 500 members, and payments, including reimbursements for garden expenses across COGS gardens, water bills, administration etc;
- Preparing a short monthly report to the Executive Committee on cash movements and participation in the Committee meetings (held each month except January);
- Organisation of the annual audit from our qualified auditor to be presented at the Annual General Meeting;
- Some financial knowledge and a willingness to learn new skills such as the use of MYOB Account Right; and
- Approximately 1-2 hours per week, and up to 30 hours across the months of July/August for the annual invoicing process;
